Dr. Fengtang Sun is the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Breeding Scientist of Atlas Seed Group. As a Senior Agronomist with more than 20 years of experience in modern vegetable breeding, he has dedicated his career to the research, development, and commercialization of innovative vegetable varieties that improve agricultural productivity, sustainability, and food quality.  

Throughout his career, Dr. Sun has led breeding programs focused on tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, melons, leafy vegetables, brassicas, beans, onions, and specialty Asian vegetables. His expertise covers germplasm resource development, conventional and molecular breeding, disease resistance, quality improvement, and variety commercialization.  

Under his leadership, Atlas Seed Group has established an integrated innovation platform that combines germplasm conservation, breeding research, seed production, seedling development, quality management, and global marketing. Today, the company maintains 21,000+ germplasm resources, has successfully commercialized 500+ vegetable varieties, operates with an annual seedling production capacity exceeding 3.2 billion plants, and serves growers and business partners in more than 40 countries.
